Less than a week! May 10, 2008

Well, I finished one class today. I have a presentation on Monday and then I just have to show up for class for donuts on Thursday. After that my stepdad is coming to help me move. I hope to have everything in the apartment and situated by Friday and am hoping to make it back home for Rod Run on Saturday…whew! I’m supposed to check on a job as soon as I get settled and I really hope that goes well and I can make enough money. 

Ok, I just felt like I owed you all an update…not that you really wanted to know, but hey…I’m here to entertain!

Almost there! April 15, 2008

Over the past weekend Ryan and I finalized the paperwork for our new apartment. We got him all moved in on Saturday. We ended up needing to buy a few pieces of furniture. We got a new kitchen table (one of those really neat tall ones), a new couch (microfiber), and a new bed frame (with a really tall headboard). I love everything and am so grateful that we were able to get them! Everything ended up looking really nice in the space, it almost feels like home, well it did for the 2 nights I was there. I won’t be moving in until mid-May as I have to finish this semester of school here. Only about 4 weeks left! Once I am all moved in and have all my crap (read really important belongings) situated I will post some pictures.

Oh vacation!

Ryan and I had a fabulous time in Las Vegas! We stayed at the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street. It was awesome. We both agreed that we enjoyed downtown way better than the Strip. There was a lot more people on the Strip and there was more atmosphere downtown. I’ll try to get some pictures up, but I’m still having some issues with that.When we got back into Atwood, we got a call to go look at an apartment in McCook. It was nice, we haven’t officially gotten it yet, but we are working on it.Duke has been very lonely without Koda and Bailey. He doesn’t like to be outside alone and I’m having some trouble getting him to eat. I’m sure we’ll work it out though.I only have 6 weeks left in school for this semester and will be enrolling for the summer semester within the next couple days. I only have to take 2 classes and they both seem pretty interesting.Well, that’s all for now. Happy Easter a few days late!Always,Justine

Unethical! March 5, 2008

Believe me I know…that’s all I can say. I’m sorry and I feel terrible and please don’t cuss at me. I am in the process of studying just how unethical this whole thing is, and it is VERY unethical! I don’t know what to do, I’m torn and I’m hurt. I am a good person…if only you knew me.

Ok so, here is a new picture of Ryan and I. Notice that I cut my hair…short! My hair had been long since my oooohhhh sophmore year in high school until the very beginning of this year (I am now a senior in college). Yea, time for a change! Oh and if you look at the picture on the All About Justine page and compare it to this new one you’ll notice that Ryan also cleans up very nice!

Spring cleaning!

On Saturday I woke up bright and early with a little extra bounce in my step. I got up, went upstairs, grabbed some trash bags and ventured back into my room, a.k.a. the basement. For about an hour and a half I sorted through the piles mounting in my room and threw out three full trash bags of crap that had just been lying around. I also went through the clothes in my closet and decided that it was definately time to let some things go. I got rid of a trash bag full of clothes. I dusted, too! You wouldn’t believe how much dust was on everything…okay…if you have been in my room recently you could!

After that was all finished and everything was sparkling, Josh and Allie and I decided to make a trip to Goodwill to donate a massive amount of clothing. I believe in all we ended up donating 10 or so bags. To give you an idea of how much that is, the bed of Allie’s truck was completely full.

Next, we went to Home Depot and Sears to look at some washers and dryers, just getting some pricing info.

Then we went back home…I went back downstairs with the vaccuum in hand this time, and vaccuumed the heck outta that place. So as you probably have figured out by now, it is SPOTLESS!

Gotta love spring cleaning!

Beautiful morning… February 29, 2008

Ahhh…I believe it is almost Spring! When I got up this morning I was in a fabulous mood. I looked outside and the sun was shining, except for some clouds to the northwest. I left for work wearing only a sweatshirt and didn’t even have to turn the heater on in my car. It started sprinkling on my way to work and a little bit later I looked out and saw the ground was damp and the sun was as bright as ever!

Personally, I can’t wait for thunderstorms. There is something about them that is so..what’s the feeling I want to go with…uncontrolable! You never know what is going to happen or when the thunder will BOOM or when the lightning will flash. It’s exciting!

So, my forecast is…Spring is coming, coming soon. Maybe not this week, but it will be here soon. So, put away those big bulky coats and sweaters and pull out your T-shirts and hoodies!

P.S. I can’t believe how happy the weather can make me considering everything else is crazy stressful in my life…it’s WONDERFUL!!

Long month! February 27, 2008

I’m really glad February is almost over! It has been one long month. Most of you know now that I will be losing my job at First National Mortgage Sources soon. The company is closing down business and is in the process of slowing down now, but because I work in the Payroll Department we will be the last ones to go (hopefully). Everyone needs paid you know. So that’s the good news for me. The bad news-I have to spend everyday on the phone with people who are facing unemployment in this hard time. It’s tough to have sympathy and not tell them what I know at the same time. I also got a call this morning from my mom that Chad was in the hospital. They thought there may be something wrong with his heart so they ran a bunch of tests. Turns out they didn’t find anything. Hopefully it was all just stress related as we are all under a lot of it these days. I got Ryan’s and my tickets for Las Vegas in the mail yesterday, one step closer. We could really use a vacation!
